Dr. Chau is a New Jersey native and received his dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. After dental school, he completed two general practice residencies: Year 1 at New York Presbyterian Hospital, and Year 2 at New York Hospital Queens. After working in private practice for several years, he continued on to specialize in the field of Periodontics at New York University, where he received the Clinician of the Year Award. Dr. Chau is recognized as a Board-Certified Periodontist by the American Board of Periodontology. Having been immersed in the educational setting for numerous years, Dr. Chau holds much respect for his past mentors. He enjoys teaching and has been a hospital attending and lecturer for dental residents at Lincoln Medical Center in the Bronx. He lives in NJ with his wife and three daughters. He enjoys snowboarding, ping pong, and is on the lookout for new restaurants and cuisines to try out. In his down time, he tries to find his zen by going on hikes with his family, fishing, and if time permits: going on the occasional video game quest.

Dr. Kim, a native of Argentina, has embraced the vibrant spirit of New York City throughout her life. She graduated from the Bronx High School of Science and earned both her undergraduate and dental degrees from New York University. While in dental school, her passion for community service, diverse cultures and travel led her to actively contribute to dental outreaches in remote areas of Tanzania, India and Nicaragua. Dr. Kim further honed her skills during her general dentistry residency at Jamaica Hospital. Dr Kim’s optimism and practical approach guide her both in her professional and personal life. She believes deeply in the power of individual agency and views building trust and connection with her patients as essential to achieving the best outcomes. Outside her professional life, Dr. Kim is an avid reader and runner. In between training for marathons, she enjoys exploring the world alongside her husband and two children.

Dr. Urtula was born and raised in Montclair, New Jersey. He attended New York University, where he obtained his undergraduate degree in addition to his dental degree. After a few years working in private practice, he went back to NYU College of Dentistry to complete a postgraduate program in the specialty of Periodontics, where he concentrated his study on integrated radiographic and 3D modeling for oral surgery, biomaterials and dental implant restorations. He enjoys working with patients correlating their oral health with past and present life movements and choices to their in order to optimize their life. He believes that lifetime occupational and athletic performance lends to physiological adaptations, especially tendencies in the neck, head and jaw that manifest in the teeth and supporting tissues. While connecting these dots, he adapts treatment and recommendations in steady life changes for the prevention of disease. When he is not providing care at Emagen, he's on a trail - hiking, cycling, or snowboarding- or else cooking at home with his wife and two sons.
